Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance is a measure of performance of employees, based on Communications Operations Guidelines and procedures. Quality Assurance (QA) is measured on a daily basis. Randomly, calls are selected to see if the calls for service are accurate, brief and entered in a timely manner. It is the overall mission of the Quality Assurance Unit to conduct the following:

Monitoring to see if the correct call for service code was used

Monitoring to see if all dispatch formats were followed

Monitoring to see if calls for service were entered within 60 seconds of receipt

Monitoring to see if calls for service were dispatched within 120 seconds of receipt

Monitoring calls produced for information accuracy

Monitoring calls produced to check for 5 W's (Where, What, Who, When, Weapons)

Monitoring employees' performance of all calls produced to check for accuracy, brevity and clarity
