Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance is a measure of performance of employees, based on Communications Operations Guidelines and procedures. Quality Assurance (QA) is measured on a daily basis. Randomly, calls are selected to see if the calls for service are accurate, brief and entered in a timely manner. It is the overall mission of the Quality Assurance Unit to conduct the following:

• Monitoring to see if the correct call for service code was used

• Monitoring to see if all dispatch formats were followed

• Monitoring to see if calls for service were entered within 60 seconds of receipt

• Monitoring to see if calls for service were dispatched within 120 seconds of receipt

• Monitoring calls produced for information accuracy

• Monitoring calls produced to check for 5 W’s (Where, What, Who, When, Weapons)

• Monitoring employees' performance of all calls produced to check for accuracy, brevity and clarity
