*PLUS(+)10% DIFFERENTIAL FOR USE OF OWN VEHICLE | | Nature of Work | | The purpose of this position is to perform routine technical data collection using GPS/GIS technology in multiple City departments, and to perform related technical and professional work as required. | | | | Qualifications: | | Graduation from high school, vocational school, or GED with one (1) year work experience with GPS/GIS technology preferred; or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience. | | | | Special Requirements: | | Must possess and maintain a valid SC Class “D” Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record. Must have knowledge of personal computer equipment with skill in doing data entry and in the use of Microsoft Office preferred, utilizing various software programs, as well as skill in ESRI ArcPad/ESRI ArcGIS, preferred. Must have physical stamina and dexterity to be able to walk or stand for several hours; the ability to lift 50 pound boxes on a recurring basis, many times above the shoulders, on to and off shelving.
