Columbia City Council will give first reading to the proposed FY 2013/2014 budget on Tuesday June 4, 2013 during the regular scheduled meeting beginning at 6:00 p.m.
In addition to first reading of the budget, City Council will give first reading to the proposed rate and fee increases for Parks & Recreation facility rentals and other recreation programs and first reading of the Hazardous Materials Cost Recovery and Registration ordinances.

|Nature of Work|
|The purpose of this position is to perform semi-skilled work to assist technicians in the inspection, maintenance and repair of the City wastewater treatment plant and related equipment, and to perform related work as required. |
|Graduation from high school, vocational school, or GED with six (6) months work experience in either mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation trade. |
|Special Requirements: |
|Must possess and maintain or be able to obtain a valid SC Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License within nine (9) months from date of hire or promotion and have an acceptable driving record. Preference may be given to applicants who have knowledge of personal computer equipment with skill in the use of Microsoft Office 2010 preferred, utilizing Outlook, word processing, spreadsheet and data base software programs as well as data entry skills. |

|Must be able to be on-call on a rotating basis as needed, and must be able to work additional hours, weekends, holidays, etc., as needed in order to accomplish assigned work. |
