Job Title: FORESTRY SUPERVISOR
Pay: $36,627/ANNUAL
Nature of Work
The purpose of this position is to plan, supervise and participate in the work of crew members engaged in tree maintenance and removal projects throughout the City, and to perform related supervisory and technical work as required.
 
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or specialized training in forestry, landscape maintenance, horticulture or closely related field, with four (4) years work experience in the planning, coordinating and supervising of tree maintenance and removal projects; or, any equivalent combination of related education, training and experience.
 
Special Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid SC Class "A" Commercial Driver's License and have an acceptable driving record. Must possess and maintain or be able to obtain ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) Certified Arborist designation within one (1) year from date of hire or promotion. SC Pesticide License is desirable. May be required to work additional hours, weekends, holidays, etc., as needed in order to accomplish assigned work.
