Job Title: STORMWATER ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST
Pay: $35,085 / ANNUAL
Nature of Work
The purpose of this position is to monitor stormwater drainage areas for pollution discharges, to prepare and maintain associated records and reports, and to perform related technical work as required.
 
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree with emphasis in biology, chemistry, laboratory science or closely related field with two (2) years of work experience in inspecting City stormwater operations for compliance with applicable laws and regulations, inspecting water and wastewater operations for compliance as required, collecting samples for laboratory testing and reporting environmental violations, identifying pollution sources and reporting environmental violations; or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
 
Special Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid SC Class “D” Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record. Must have knowledge of personal computer equipment with skill in the use of Microsoft Office preferred, utilizing Outlook, word processing, spreadsheet and ArcGIS software programs as well as data entry skills
