Job Title: WATER PLANT MAINTENANCE TECH III (LAKE MURRAY PLANT)
Pay: $35,085/ ANNUAL
Nature of Work
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and participate in the inspection, maintenance and repair of the City’s water treatment plants and related equipment and facilities, and to perform other skilled and semi-skilled work as required.
 
Qualifications:
Graduation from high school, vocational school, or GED; Associate’s degree preferred in electronic engineering or industrial instrumentation and considerable experience with programmable logic controllers with eight (8) years work experience in inspecting, maintaining and repairing equipment and systems associated with a water treatment plant; or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
 
Special Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid SC Class “D” Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record. Preference may be given to applicants who possess and maintain a valid SC Commercial Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record. Selected applicant must pass a respiratory physical in compliance with O.S.H.A. Regulation 1910.134 Section (b). Will be required to provide twenty-four (24) hour maintenance support on a rotating on-call basis. Preference may be given to applicants who possess and maintain a Master Electrician’s License. Must have strong electrical background with experience in 2300V and 4160V equipment.
