Job Title: AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN II/SS
Pay: $14.64/HOURLY PLUS (+) 10% DIFFERENTIAL FOR SECOND SHIFT HOURS WORKED
Nature of Work
The purpose of this position is to perform skilled mechanical repair work on City-owned diesel- and gasoline-powered automobiles, trucks and other light-to-heavy equipment, ensuring that repaired vehicles run properly and safely; to perform preventive maintenance on such equipment as scheduled, and to perform related work as required.
 
Qualifications:
Graduation from high school, vocational school, or GED with four (4) years work experience as an automotive mechanic at full skilled crafts level including experience in the repair of one or more types of heavy equipment; or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience.
 
Special Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid SC Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record.
 
Special Notes:
SCHEDULED HOURS: 4:00 P.M. - 1:00 A.M.
