NPDES General Permit for Storm Water Discharges from Large and Small Construction Activities, Permit No. SCS790001. The class will be required to monitor sites/companies for compliance with plans, specifications, regulations and standards of quality and safety; and to perform related administrative and technical work as required. | | | | Qualifications: | | Bachelor’s degree in construction, construction management, engineering, project management or closely related field with one (1) year work experience in coordinating and monitoring the work of engineers, developers and contractors to ensure all storm water management facilities and construction work is in accordance with plans, specifications and regulations. Preference may be given to applicants with knowledge and/or responsibility of paraprofessional engineering work, storm water management, environmental enforcement and/or certification in sediment and erosion control inspections; or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience. | | | | Special Requirements: | | Must possess and maintain a valid SC Class “D” Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record. Must have knowledge of personal computer equipment with skill in the use of Microsoft Office preferred, utilizing Outlook, word processing and spreadsheet software programs. Must possess or be able to obtain certification in sediment and erosion control inspections (CEPSCI) within one (1) year from date of hire or promotion.
