| | | | << Back To Listing | | | | Job Title: | WATER PLANT SCADA TECHNICIAN (COLUMBIA CANAL WATER PLANT) | | Pay: | $36,627 - $47,615/ANNUAL | | Nature of Work | | The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and participate in the inspection, maintenance and repair of the City’s water treatment plant and related equipment and facilities, and to perform other skilled and semi-skilled work as required. | | | | Qualifications: | | Graduation from high school, vocational school, or GED; Associate’s degree preferred in electronic engineering with eight (8) years work experience and a strong electronic background in inspecting, maintaining and repairing equipment and electronic systems associated with a water treatment plant as well as the SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) equipment associated with its operation. | | | | Special Requirements: | | Must possess and maintain a valid SC Class “D” Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record. Preference may be given to applicants who possess and maintain a valid SC Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License. Selected applicant must pass a respiratory physical in compliance with O.S.H.A. Regulation 1910.134 Section (b). Will be required to provide twenty-four (24) hour maintenance support on a rotating on-call basis and may be a substitute on relief shifts for Water Plant Operators. Preference may be given to applicants who possess and maintain a Master Electrician’s License. Consideration may be given to an applicant who is proficient in troubleshooting and repair of Allen Bradley PLC’s, radio frequency telemetry and use of Wonder Ware software programs. Must possess or be able to obtain a Class “D” Water Treatment Operator’s License within one (1) year from date of hire or promotion. | | | | Special Notes: | | May be required to work additional hours, weekends, holidays, etc., as needed in order to accomplish assigned work on a ten-hour (10) rotating on-call basis.
