| | | | | << Back To Listing | | | | Job Title: | LABORATORY TECHNICIAN III (LAKE MURRAY WATER PLANT) | | Pay: | $35,085/Annual | | Nature of Work | | The purpose of this position is to perform routine to complex laboratory analyses of water samples to ensure quality potable water for City utility customers, to assist in maintaining the laboratory facility and equipment, to provide professional and courteous customer service, and to perform related work as required. | | | | Qualifications: | | Graduation from high school, vocational school, or GED supplemented by one (1) year of college education in laboratory science, chemistry, biology or closely related field with four (4) years work experience in preparing chemical reagents for testing, collecting water samples for laboratory testing, conducting tests and preparing laboratory reports, troubleshooting and performing maintenance and minor repairs of laboratory equipment, and cleaning and maintaining laboratory instruments; or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience. | | | | Special Requirements: | | Must possess and maintain a valid SC Class “D” Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record. Must have knowledge of personal computer equipment with skill in the use of Microsoft Office preferred, utilizing Outlook, word processing and spreadsheet software programs.
