The mission of the Department of Homeland Security for the City of Columbia is to prepare for, mitigate, and aid in the orderly recovery of natural and man-made disasters, as well as provide security for critical infrastructure and engage the citizens of Columbia in a coordinated effort to improve the overall quality of life in its communities.
