The purpose of this position is to provide business process analysis, system configuration, process consultation and documentation for the implementation and modification of specified enterprise integrated software systems. It is expected that the analyst will meet with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SME) to identify processes that are inefficient due to the current information systems operational deficiencies and provide a full report of those processes with solutions to include business process improvements and/or reengineering. CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER (CIO) (INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY)

FIRE INVESTIGATOR
The purpose of this position is to investigate the origin and cause of fires as required; to assist with criminal investigations involving arson or suspected arson; to apprehend and arrest offenders and to prosecute their cases, and to perform related technical and skilled work as required.
FIREFIGHTER (PROBATIONARY)
This is skilled fire fighting work in combating, extinguishing and preventing fires to protect life and property. Incumbents are required to learn and participate in the operation of apparatus and performance of hazardous tasks under emergency conditions which may require strenuous exertion under such conditions as fire, heat, smoke and cramped surrounds. Although fire fighting and emergency rescue work are the most responsible and difficult areas of activity, a major portion of time is spent performing drills and studying methods, techniques and organization, and in routine duties in the care and maintenance of fire department property and equipment. Work also involves routine custodial maintenance of fire department equipment, apparatus, buildings and quarters.Note: Those Firefighter applicants who are not Certified Firefighters and/or who do not have previous firefighting experience may be considered as a FIREFIGHTER RECRUIT.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SECURITY ANALYST
The purpose of this position is to provide technical assistance with the design, installation, operation, service and maintenance of a variety of multi-user information security systems. This includes but is not limited to hardware, software, electronic information and data maintained with its systems. Additionally, this position facilitates the creation and maintenance of policies, standards and procedures promoting the overall security of the City. This position also manages the City’s virus detection systems; content filtering systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, security incident and event management systems (SIEM’s), and vulnerability management/assessment systems. The role also includes managing external audits as well as conducting internal audits to ensure the overall operational integrity of the City of Columbia’s Information and its containing systems.

Incumbent will be responsible for operating and transporting heavy equipment effectively and safely, to include backhoes, track-hoes, skid-steer loaders, trenchers, CCTV cameras, I & I investigations, mechanical cleaning equipment, high pressure cleaning equipment, etc., in the repair, rehabilitation or installation of sewer lines, manholes, vortexes or other appurtenances pertaining to the wastewater collection system and ensuring all work reporting has been done, followed up on, and completed in accordance with the Wastewater Maintenance Division policies and procedures.

The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for ensuring all work orders are properly assigned to appropriate staff taking into consideration available staff skill sets/expertise/training, and equipment/material availability. This position works closely with the WWTP Maintenance Supervisor, Lift Station Supervisor, and the City’s Information Technology (IT) Department while reporting directly to the Assistant Wastewater Plant Maintenance Superintendent.

The purpose of this position is to perform skilled technical and manual work in the daily operation of City's wastewater treatment plant; to prepare and maintain required records and reports, and to perform related work as required.
WASTEWATER PLANT SCADA TECHNICIAN (METRO WASTEWATER PLANT)
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and responsibility for monitoring, inspection, maintenance, and repair of the City’s wastewater plant process instrumentation, controls, field instruments and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system; and to perform other skilled and semi-skilled work as required.
WATER CROSS CONTROL FOREMAN (WATER DISTRIBUTION & MAINTENANCE)
The purpose of this position is to supervise and participate in the inspection and testing of backflow devices to ensure the City’s water customers are in compliance with related regulations, and to perform other technical and supervisory work as required.
WATER FIELD TECHNICIAN (ENGINEERING)
The purpose of this position is to perform technical engineering work to support the design, development and implementation of City water distribution system projects, and to perform related work as required.
WATER PLANT MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST (COLUMBIA CANAL WATER PLANT)
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and participate in the inspection, maintenance and repair of an assigned City water treatment plant and related equipment, and to perform other skilled and semi-skilled work as required.
WATER PLANT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN III (COLUMBIA CANAL WATER PLANT)
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and participate in the inspection, maintenance and repair of the City's water treatment plants and related equipment and facilities, and to perform other skilled and semi-skilled work as required.
WATER PLANT OPERATOR (COLUMBIA CANAL WATER PLANT)
The purpose of this position is to perform skilled technical and manual work in the daily operation of an assigned City water treatment plant; to prepare and maintain required records and reports, and to perform related work as required.

The purpose of this position is to perform skilled technical and manual work in the daily operation of an assigned City water treatment plant; to prepare and maintain required records and reports, and to perform related work as required.

The purpose of this position is to assist in planning, designing, and implementing aquatic related programs and special events at the City of Columbia swimming pools to include training and program development with the integration of wellness services.
