What do City of Columbia Parking tickets look like?
There are two types of parking tickets. Most tickets are generated by a handheld computerized device and look like the one displayed to the right.
Tickets issued by a police officer or other public safety officials are normally handwritten on a pre-printed form.
Where will I find my parking ticket?
All parking tickets are placed under your vehicle's windshield wiper blades.
Will I be reminded when my parking fees are due?
City of Columbia parking tickets are due within thirty (30) calendar days of the issue date. Your parking ticket is your notice. After thirty (30) days, the ticket, if not paid, is assessed a penalty. Bond will be increased further the longer the ticket remains unpaid. Parking Services sends late notices where the ownership information of the vehicle is available. State law places the responsibility for paying the ticket on the owner of the vehicle.
