New nature trail now open! NOMA (North Main) Nature Trail at Earlewood Park Fact Sheet
On Saturday, May 8, the Earlewood Community celebrated the opening of the new NOMA (North Main) Nature Trail at
Earlewood
Park.
The celebration included a ceremonial ribbon cutting, and doggie parade. Mayor Bob Coble, Mayor-elect Steve Benjamin, and Councilwoman Tameika Isaac Devine officially opened the nature trail.

Hundreds of skateboarders came out for the opening of the first custom-designed concrete skate park owned and operated by the City of Columbia Parks and Recreation. The 15,000 square-foot park features a street plaza, stairs, metal plated rails, and “pool” bowls ranging in depth from 4-to-12 feet.

1351 Jim Hamilton Boulevard. The facility is open to skateboards, in-line skates and bicycles.

The elementary school scholarship was awarded to the Richland County Cadet Squadron Civil air Patrol; no elementary entries were received. Winners were announced at the city of Columbia's annual Martin Luther King Day Celebration, Monday, January 18, 2010 at Martin Luther King Park and Community Center, 2300 Green Street.
