Facility Rentals

Facility Rentals:

The City of Columbia Department of Parks and Recreation makes a number of its parks and community centers available for private use. A rental fee is charged to cover costs to the department.

RENTAL PROCEDURES

  • All rentals by organizations and individuals require a Facility Rental Form or a Special Events Form to be completed by the renting party.
  • All appropriate fees must be paid at the time of rental.
  • All reservations must be made at the Parks and Recreation office located at 1932 Calhoun Street. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • Reservations cannot be taken over the phone. All reservations must be made in person. You may, however, call 545-3100 to see if a facility is available on the date you wish to rent. You should plan to make your reservation as far in advance as possible.
  • Community Centers to include Gymnasiums are not available for rental during operating hours.
  • Persons must be 21 years of age or older to rent a facility; all rentals require adult (21 or older) supervision.
  • All facilities must be closed and vacated by 11:00 p.m.
Building Rental Fee Schedule, rentals for the following must be done and completely paid for 15 days or more prior to your event.

Building rentals are available in time blocks of:

  • 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
  • 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Neighborhood Centers:

Sites: Arsenal Hill, Mays, Earlewood Park

  • $100.00 / refundable security deposit
  • $150.00 / per block of time
  • $175.00 / per block of time for holidays observed by City of Columbia

Community Centers (Limited Hours Available):

Sites: Ben Arnold, Greenview, Leroy Moss (Hyatt), Lorick, M.L. King, Pinehurst, and Woodland

  • $175.00 / refundable security deposit
  • $275.00 / per block of time
  • $325.00 / per block of time for holidays observed by City of Columbia

Secondary Parks: (outside grounds only)

Sites: Lincoln, Lorick, Marshall, Pacific, Pinehurst, Rosewood, Valencia, and Woodland

  • $100.00 / refundable security deposit
  • $40.00 / per hour
  • $50.00 / per hour for holidays observed by City of Columbia

Picnic Shelters:

Sites: Anna Mae Dickson, Earlewood, Elmwood/Roy Lynch, Emily Douglas, Greenview, Heathwood, Hollywood/Rose Hill, Lorick, Mays, Melrose, Rosewood, St. Anna’s and Sims.

All picnic shelters are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Special Facilities:

Ensor Keenan House: 

  • $175.00 / refundable security deposit
  • $275.00 / per block of time
  • $325.00 / per block of time for holidays observed by City of Columbia

Eau Claire Print Building:

  • $250.00 / refundable security deposit
  • $350.00 / per block of time
  • $425.00 / per block of time for holidays observed by City of Columbia

Park Rental: Rentals for the following parks must be requested in writing to the City of Columbia Department of Parks and Recreation no less than 45 days prior to your event. Setup, take down, gated, admission and support fees my apply to the rental of these park facilities:

Finlay Park:

  • $300.00 / refundable security deposit
  • $100.00 / per hour
  • $125.00 / per hour for holidays observed by the City of Columbia

Riverfront Park:

  • $200.00 / refundable security deposit
  • $75.00 / per hour of time
  • $100.00 / per hour for holidays observed by the City of Columbia
