Welcome to the Public Relations, Marketing & Media page!
The City of Columbia's Public Relations Department serves as the primary link between the City and the news media as well as the support office for other City departments' public relations. Our department also processes Freedom of Information Act requests. Click here to download an FOIA request form . We provide the community with information about City services, programs and events through a variety of channels. PR manages operations for the City cable-access channel, Channel 2. We coordinate special events for the City and also publish and print newsletters in addition to Columbia's annual report and calendar. Our office is located on the first floor of City Hall (1737 Main Street PO Box 147 Columbia, SC 29217). You may contact the Public Relations Department at (803) 545-3020. The fax number is (803) 343-8719.
Individuals filing FOIA requests are asked to use the City's FOIA request form or submit a letter. All requests are to be signed. Requests are to be faxed (803-343-8719), mailed (City of Columbia Attn: Public Relations Dept. PO Box 147 Columbia, SC 29217) or hand-delivered (1737 Main Street (City Hall-corner of Main and Laurel Streets).
