WHAT: The public is invited to participate in the FREE Midlands Heart Walk to help and support the women affected by heart disease, the number 1 killer of women. This year’s Heart Walk will be held on Saturday, April 6th, 2019. Councilwoman Tameika Isaac Devine has started a team listed as, City of Columbia. The city has also started a five week walking program to improve overall health and increase energy of our participants prior to the Midlands Heart Walk. Join our team as we encourage awareness of heart disease and take action to help save lives. Both men and women are encouraged to participate in the walk. All participants will be given a FREE t-shirt by the City of Columbia, with the team name “Columbia Heartbeats” to represent the City Columbia on the day of the walk.
