City’s Office of Business Opportunities & Midlands Technical College to host 2019 FastTrac & NxLevel Certificate of Completion Ceremony

The City of Columbia’s Office of Business Opportunities (OBO) in partnership with Midlands Technical College will recognize all participants of the FastTrac & NxLevel courses at the completion ceremony on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Midlands Technical College, North East Campus, 151 Powell Road, Columbia, SC 29203 at 6 p.m. 


For the past 14 years, the City’s OBO department and Midlands Technical College has worked in collaboration to provide the FastTrac course to local business owners. The FastTrac course provides hands-on, intensive instruction to help entrepreneurs hone the skills needed to start, manage and grow a successful business. 


The NxLeveL course focuses on teaching “self-sufficiency through self-employment.” Participants learn how to choose a business idea, develop a marketing plan, explore financing options, develop a customer service philosophy, as well as other relevant entrepreneurial skills. OBO partners with a certified NxLeveL instructor to provide this training.
