NON-DISCRIMINATION IN CONTRACTING POLICY (January 2020)

In carrying out the service, the Contractor shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, creed, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability or other handicap, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, and local laws (“protected characteristics”).  The Contractor shall take affirmative action to ensure equal employment opportunities for all applicants for employment without regard to their protected characteristics.  Such action includes, but is not limited to, the following:  employment, promotion, demotion, transfer, recruitment or recruitment advertising, layoff, termination, rates of pay or other forms of compensation, and selection for training, including apprenticeship.  The Contractor shall post in conspicuous places, available to employees and applicants for employment, a notice provided by the government setting forth the provisions of this non-discrimination policy.  The Contractor shall incorporate these non-discrimination requirements in all subcontracts for service work.
